Game Five:  Evil Geniuses vs. 100 Thieves

CWL Pro League Finals: Miami - Day Two Results Part 2

The first match started with a bang as both teams lit up each other on Arsenal for the Hardpoint fight. 100T got the edge near the end, however, and took the match 250-225 for the first win. We headed to gridlock for the S&D fight in match two, as both teams traded victories throughout the fight. This one basically came down to whoever was better at defuasl, as EG took the match 6-5, tying it up 1-1 at the half.

We went to Gridlock for match three and a Control battle, as this one came down to the wire for both teams. But 100T was able to eek out the win on a 3-2 score, going up 2-1. We traveled to Hacienda for the next Hardpoint fight in match four, and this is where EG showed they learned their lessons from the last fight. They took the fight to 100T over and over, barely allowing them to stay on top, and eventually took the round 250-189, tying it up 2-2. The fifth match took us to Seaside for an S&D round. While it looked like it was going to be a pretty even fight, 100T showed they wanted this match more and took down EG with a score of 6-2. EG is eliminated from the tourney while 100T move on in the Loser's bracket.

Winner: 100 Thieves (3-2)

Game Six: Heretics vs. Splyce

CWL Pro League Finals: Miami - Day Two Results Part 2

We started the first match up with Seaside for the Hardpoint fight. This was as close as you could get it when it came to both teams putting it all on the line. Every time one seemed like they were destined to run the match, the other swooped in and put a stop to that. Ultimately, Splyce was able to secure the win with a 250-235 score. The second match took us to Arsenal for the S&D fight. This one wasn't as competitive as Splyce was able to make short work of Heretics and defuse more than they planted, taking the second match 6-2 and going up 2-0 at the half.

The third match took us to Gridlock for another Control battle, and it looked like Splyce might have a chance to run the board for the sweep, but Heretics made them fight for every inch of the map and ultimately, overtook them to win it 3-1, making it a 1-2 game. The fourth match took us to Gridlock for a second Hardpoint match, and while it was competitive, you could see that Splyce learned from the first fight and kept Heretics at bay. They took the match 250-119, eliminative Heretics from the tournament and moving on in the Loser's bracket.

Winner: Splyce (3-1)

Game Seven: eUnited vs. Gen.G

CWL Pro League Finals: Miami - Day Two Results Part 2

The first match started off strong for Gen.G as we went to Arsenal for a Hardpoint fight. This was them showing off everything they could do and then some on the map as they held off EU for the 250-184 win. The second match took us to Hacienda for the S&D round, where this match was much closer than expected. A lot of matches came down to the wire with no clear winner for either side. But eventually, EU snagged the victory 6-5 and tied the series up 1-1.

The third match took the Control fight over to Arsenal again, where EU showed off their dominance with a 3-0 victory to go up 2-1. This one wasn't even close as Gen.G just couldn't put it together. Match four took us to Frequency for a second Hardpoint match, where both teams kept trading the lead back and forth. EU held onto it for most of the round, however, and took the win 250-177, winning the round 3-1 and moving on in the Winner's bracket in the semifinals, while Gen.G were sent packing down to the Loser's bracket.

Winner: eUnited (3-1)

Game Eight: Team Reciprocity vs. Splyce

CWL Pro League Finals: Miami - Day Two Results Part 2

The first match put both teams on Seaside for the Hardpoint battle. There was a bit of a trade-off between both teams as they fought for dominance, but REC had the edge over Splyce and was able to cap the first win 250-190. The second match took us to Frequency for the S&D round, where we saw more dominance from REC as they managed to make quick work out of the setup and defuasl rounds for a 6-2 win and a 2-0 lead going into the half. The third game, however, wasn't much of a challenge either as we went to X for the Control game. This is just a clinic in some ways as they saw what Splyce was bringing to the table and cleared them off for the 3-1 victory and a complete 3-0 sweep! REC moves on in the Loser's bracket while Splyce is headed home.

Winner: Team Reciprocity (3-0)
