"Where The Water Tastes Like Wine" Just Got New Free Content

Some cool news for fans of Where The Water Tastes Like Wine as the game just got some brand new story content added totally free of charge. The Gold Mountain update brings in some new folklore to the mix as it introduces new tales focusing on the experience of Chinese Americans. Those tales show off their impact on American history and culture as you spread them far and wide with the rest of the stories you've come to know in the game. The update also includes a variety of performance and quality-of-life improvements to keep the game running smoothly after being out for nearly a year.

Where The Water Tastes Like Wine is one of our personal favorites ever since we saw it at PAX West a couple of years ago. The game has you as a drifter wandering around America during the Great Depression, trading tales and stories for the Devil in an attempt to get your soul back. It even has a pretty good voice cast including Sting, Dave Fennoy, Cissy Jones, and Kimberly Brooks. Might be worth checking out if you're into tall tales and checking out the America of old reimagined.
