Absolute Carnage Expands to 5 Issues

In a refreshing change of pace for the House of Ideas, rather than waiting for a super-mega-crossover event’s final issue to be repeatedly delayed before finally adding an additional issue to the end of the event, Marvel has announced an extra issue for Absolute Carnage before the first issue  by global entertainment superstar Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman even hits stores. They don’t call them the House of Ideas for nothing, folks!

In a press release on Marvel.com today, the publisher revealed:

On August 7, superstar creative duo Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman are set to put the Sinister Symbiote through hell once more…only this time, Carnage comes calling, and everyone who’s ever worn a symbiote is dead in his sights.

ABSOLUTE CARNAGE kicks off in less than a month, and today, Marvel.com is exclusively announcing that this raucous rampage is extending its run into a fifth issue! This November, Cletus Kasady cannot be contained, and the blood-red reprobate’s reign of terror continues in ABSOLUTE CARNAGE #5.

It’s bad news for Eddie Brock, Spider-Man, and the heroes of the Marvel Universe…but in spite of their plight, members of the Merry Marvel Marching Society will unite in delight!

In addition, Marvel revealed the cover for Absolute Carnage #4, by Stegman, colorist Frank Martin, and inker JP Mayer.

Eddie Brock has taken a beating, lost the allies closest to him, and, after the shocking events of ABSOLUTE CARNAGE #3, sees no way to take Cletus Kasady down once and for all without making the ultimate sacrifice… But what is the ultimate sacrifice? And of the two beings that are bonded as Venom, which will make it out alive?

You know, we’re not entirely sure 5 issues is even enough to contain all of this. Well, maybe if they add enough variant covers.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
