Comic book grading and slabbing company CGC is announcing a number of Private Signings events at an Diego Comic-Con – and the prices to match. But for those who spent all their money on the show, travel, hotels and trying to get all the Skottie Young pins, they will also include free comic book grading evaluations at the show. Isn’t that nice of them? It’s also worth pointing out that Bleeding Cool is sponsored by CGC, but this article was written independently of them.
So, they will have two booths.
Booth #901 is where customers can turn in their books for private signings, Express Drop-Off submissions, Signature Series submissions and those free book evaluations we mentioned. More of that later.
Booth #4315 is the designated area to grab a signature witness for Signature Series signing, witnessing and slabbing with Frank Miller, Robert Kirkman, Jim Lee, J. Scott Campbell, Tyler Kirkham, Ryan Ottley, Anna Zhuo and more.
These are the rules for Private signings: Books MUST be in window bags with boards. Your NAME and ACCOUNT NUMBER must be written on the back of the boards. You must have cash for artist fees. Go to CGC booth #901 for paperwork.
And here’s how much you’ll be charged
Frank Miller Signing Fee: $100
The cut-off time to submit your books for Miller’s signature is 1pm on Friday, July 19th.
Robert Kirkman Signing Fee: $30
The cut-off time to submit your books for Kirkman’s signature is 5pm on Saturday, July 20th.
Jim Lee Signing Fee: $40
The cut-off time to submit your books for Lee’s signature is 4pm on Saturday, July 20th.
J Scott Campbell Signing Fee: $30
The cut-off time to submit your books for Campbell’s signature is 11am on Sunday, July 21st.
Tyler Kirkman Signing Fee: $20.
The cut-off time to submit your books for Kirkham’s signature is 11am on Sunday, July 21st.
Ryan Ottley Signing Fee: $20
The cut-off time to submit your books for Ottley’s signature is Noon on Saturday, July 20th.
Anna Zhuo Signing Fee: FREE (isn’t that nice?)
The cut-off time to submit your books for Zhuo’s signature is 2pm on Friday, July 19th
While for Marv Wolfman, Ann Nocenti, Rafael Albuquerque, Jimmy Palmiotti, Chris Burnham, Dan Panosian, Amanda Conner, Tom Raney, Dave Gibbons, Ron Marz, Dan Jurgens, Jai Nitz and Joe Jusko, the CGC Signing Fee is $10 and raises money for the Hero Initiative. The cut-off time to submit your books is 5pm on Friday, July 19th.
