In a world where former bosses come back as alien bounty hunters, evil zombie-making bats are bringing the apocalypse, and the lives of two agents depend on the whims of a Lilu Dallas look-alike, what is a secret government organization to do? In this week’s episode of ABC‘s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. “Collision Course (Part I),” only one person knows what is going on or what to do next. After six years of being the Agents with all the answers, S.H.I.E.L.D. is out of their depth and their two biggest brains are still lost in space. Sarge (Clark Gregg) and his team of the criminally insane might now be Earth’s best hope.
Brain-eating spoilers ahead – with Disney/ABC Studios having this somewhat vague and ominous episode description:

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6, episode 8 “Collision Course (Part I)”: To face The Galaxy-Hopping Hate-Beast That Eats Planets, the team on Earth asks for help in all the wrong places. While back on the Lazy Comet, something weird is going on with Izel’s (Karolina Wydra) crew, and it’s not just the puffies.
First, let’s pick apart the episode description. At first glance, it seems like a word salad produced by some sort of AI program. If we translate “The Galaxy-Hopping Hate-Beast That Eats Planets” to “The Creator of the Shrikes” that Sarge discussed last episode, things begin to make more sense. The “big bad” behind the Shrikes is heading to Earth, and S.H.I.E.L.D. has no idea how to stop it. Meanwhile, on the Lazy Comet, the old bucket of bolts that FitzSimmons (Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge) commandeered last week, shite is about to get even weirder.
Looking at the preview, when the Shrikes start to increase in number and come together, nothing good can come of it. But what do they do? How do the Shrikes go from collective shard eruptions to completely destroying a planet? Just as important, what can Sarge actually do to help?
Out in space, FitzSimmons discover that Izel might have a direct connection to what is happening on Earth. She is looking for the monoliths. The same ones that S.H.I.E.L.D. has struggled to understand for years. As the Lazy Comet heads towards Earth, there are more questions than answers. What do Izel and the monoliths have to do with the current crisis on Earth? Is is possible that she is the creator of the Shrikes?
With only the two-part “Collision Course” episode standing between us and the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debut in Hall H? Anything could happen…
