VidCon & Nike Announce The Nike Sport Court For The Event

As part of VidCon's 10th anniversary, Nike will be bringing in the Nike Sport Court to the Anaheim Convention Center, along with some big names. Along with the announcement this morning, we learned that Gabby Douglas, Dashawn Jordan, and Giannis Antetokounmpo will be there from July 10th-13th. It's a pretty cool addition to the convention that will make a lot of sports fans pop who are attending. Here's a little more information about the Sport Court from this morning's announcement.

This year marks the first time Nike will be hosting an activation at VidCon. Each day, participants of all sport experience levels will not only be able to meet their heroes, but become their teammate. Nike's expert coaches and elite athletes will lead activities, games, and drills for a different sport: skateboarding on Thursday, soccer on Friday, and basketball on Saturday. Every session will showcase the latest in Nike performance innovation — with a few surprises in between. Saturday afternoon, digital talent will take the court for a creator 'celebrity' basketball game in front of VidCon attendees. We can share the full list and schedule for more context, if interested.

Nike believes that Sport Changes Everything and is tapping into the power of content and creators as a vehicle to reach and connect with kids. VidCon will kick off a summer of sport-focused experiences meant to encourage play and physical activity.  If you're interested in getting more information about how and why Nike is attending VidCon, we are happy to connect you with a Nike executive for a formal statement. In addition, VidCon's General Manager Jim Louderback is available to discuss the importance of connecting with the mobile-first Gen Z audiences through a hyper-engaging experience, and what the future holds for brands who come to VidCon.
