Tickets Now On Sale for The Lion King, 3 New Posters, New TV Spot

After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery.

We are two down with one to go on the Disney remakes for 2019 and The Lion King is looking to be the one that will make this particular writer burst into tears. Tickets have gone on sale for its release date next month and with it comes a more accurate picture about early box office projections. Disney released a quick TV spot to go along with the ticket announcement.

They also shared a new full TV spot with this one giving us a glimpse of Donald Glover and Beyoncé singing their version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" which did not make me cry I promise [it did].

Finally, we got a pile of new posters [one two three] as the marketing for this movie is about to kick into high gear for the next month or so.

After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery.

The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, stars Donald Glover, Beyonce, Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, Alfre Woodard, and John Oliver. It will be released on July 19th, 2019.

In Africa, Simba, a young lion cub, is deeply cherished by his parents, King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. Mufasa is grooming Simba to succeed him as the ruler of the jungle. Simba, young and unsuspecting, is deceived by his jealous uncle, Scar, who harbors ambitions to seize the throne. Scar tricks Simba and his friend Nala into exploring a dangerous area, leading to an attack by hyenas. Fortunately, Mufasa comes to their rescue. Later, Scar devises a new plan to eliminate Mufasa and Simba. Although Simba survives, he flees the kingdom, burdened with guilt over his father's death. In Simba's absence, Scar, with the support of the malicious hyenas, takes over as king, turning the kingdom into a desolate place. After growing up far away, Simba encounters Nala again, who informs him of the kingdom's dire state. Faced with this reality, Simba must decide his next course of action.
