Blankets' Craig Thompson Launches Ginseng Roots #1 From Uncivilized Comics in September

It was announced last year, intended to be published in the Spring that is behind us. Looks like there was a little delay but now Craig Thompson's new comic book series Ginseng Roots has been solicited from Uncivilized Comics to be published in September.

His first serialised story, he intends it to be published bimonthly and will mix his own life working as a ginseng farmer alongside stories of the history of root.

He stated "For a decade of our childhood, [my brother Phil] and I toiled in Wisconsin farms. Weeding and harvesting ginseng—an exotic medicinal herb that fetched huge profits in China—funded our youthful obsession with comic books. Comics in turn, allowed us to escape our rural, working class trappings."
