A lot of people don’t know this, but Batman had kind of a crappy childhood. Sure, he had lots of money, but did you know his parents were killed when he was a little kid. Well, if you didn’t, that could be forgiving, considering his origin has only been told about eight billion skillion times. But Batman is getting another chance in the pages of Batman #73, as we see in the preview below. Batman’s dad from another dimension, who is also Batman, has come to take his son on a little camping trip… JUST IN TIME FOR FATHER’S DAY!
Thomas Wayne watches over the campfire while his son naps peacefully. Isn’ t that sweet?!
It’s just the kind of quiet family time Bruce has really needed for all these years.
And the next day, it seems that both father and son are sleeping peacefully, having truly bonded.
Sadly, it looks like this quality time will be interrupted.
Will Batman and his dad finally get to reconnect? Find out when Batman #73 hits stores on Wednesday. H/T to Newsarama for the preview.

“The Fall and the Fallen” part four! Batman has been defeated by Bane’s minions and chased out of Gotham. As a last-ditch effort to save his son from the lonely fate of being Batman, his father from another universe, Thomas Wayne, a.k.a. the Flashpoint Batman, is taking Bruce to the far ends of the Earth to try to give him the one thing that will cause him to give up crime-fighting for good.
