"Fallout 76" Wastelanders Update will "Completely Change the Game"

Fallout 76 may have been the video game industry's punching bag before BioWare launched Anthem, but that hasn't stopped Bethesda from updating the game and trying very, very hard to make it work. They took quite a bit of time during their E3 showcase to discuss the new changes coming to the game over the next few months.

The big thing about Wastelanders is that i'ts bringing human NPCs to the game. Which is a big deal, considering there were none before this. You'll also get a new questline, full dialogue trees, and everything you'd expect from a massive Fallout update.

Wastelanders is coming Fall 2019 and will be free to all Fallout 76 players.  Additionally, because this is E3 week, there's a free trial of the game starting tomorrow and running through June 17th.

You can check out the Wastelanders update trailer below.

The description for the Wastelanders update reads:

One year after the opening of Vault 76, other humans have returned to Appalachia. Factions of Settlers and Raiders aim to make the world their own and claim a rumored fortune. Embark on a new main quest of choice and consequence, interact with characters and their unique stories, discover the faction settlements of Crater and Foundation, and collect powerful new weapons and armor. Your choices decide their fates.

There's also a new gameplay mode coming to Fallout 76. And yes, it's a battle royale mode called Nuclear Winter. It's a 52-player free for all.

And it will be available to play during the free trial weekend. You can check out the hype trailer for Nuclear Winter below.
