BOOM! Heads to ALA with R.L. Stine, Delilah S. Dawson, Greg Pak, More

Explosive publisher BOOM! Studios has announced their plans for the upcoming ALA Annual Conference and Exhibition taking place in Washington DC later this month. In addition to offering advance reader copies of upcoming graphic novels at BOOM! booth #1616, the publisher will be bringing along special guests including R.L. Stine, Carly Usdin, Delialh S. Dawson, Gaby Dunn, and Greg Pak, as well as hosting several panels during the event.

Even better, BOOM! will hold "tea time" from 4-5PM on Saturday and Sunday, serving tea and cookies to attendees. Check out all the details and the schedule in the press release below:

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 5, 2019) – BOOM! Studios announced today their presence at the 2019 ALA Annual Conference and Exhibition from June 20-25, 2019 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, DC. The publisher, home to award-winning imprints BOOM! Studios, BOOM! Box, KaBOOM!, and Archaia, will host panels and signings throughout the weekend.

The award-winning publisher will return with a curated booth (#1616) environment  with special advance readers copies of hotly anticipated graphic novels including Just Beyond: The Scare School by R.L. Stine and Nicole and Kelly Matthews, The Magicians: Alice's Story by Lev Grossman, Lilah Sturges and Pius Bak, and Bury the Lede by Gaby Dunn and Claire Roe, as well as advance looks at key 2019 graphic novel titles including The Avant-Guards by Carly Usdin and Noah Hayes, Sparrowhawk by Delilah S. Dawson and Matias Basla, and Ronin Island by Greg Pak and Giannis Milonogiannis.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will also have an opportunity to speak one-on-one with the writers behind some of the most anticipated graphic fiction of 2019 during signing events including:

  • R.L. Stine, the acclaimed bestselling horror author, creator of Goosebumps, Fear Street, and brand new middle grade horror graphic novel series, Just Beyond.
  • Carly Usdin, the award-winning filmmaker and author of Prism Award-nominated series Heavy Vinyl and new series, The Avant-Guards.
  • Delilah S. Dawson, the New York Times bestselling author of Star Wars; Phasma, who recently penned the comic book series Sparrowhawk and the upcoming Joss Whedon's Firefly: The Sting.
  • Gaby Dunn, the New York Times bestselling author of Bad with Money, journalist, and actress is the author of the upcoming original graphic novel Bury The Lede
  • Greg Pak, the award-winning comic book writer of the hit reimagining of Joss Whedon's Firefly, as well as acclaimed original comic book series Ronin Islandand Mech Cadet Yu.
