Andrea Towers Departs Marvel PR

Andrea Towers, who joined Marvel Comics as head of PR two years ago, replacing Chris D'Lando, has announced that she's no longer with the company. We noted on Friday that Marvel failed to send out any previews for this week's comics, something they still haven't done, and this could shed some light on the reason why.

Towers didn't share any details about the departure, but she did post the following statement in a Twitter thread.

It's no secret that Marvel as a company are not fans of Bleeding Cool, and even less so of your pal Jude Terror in particular, but Towers was always very nice to me in any interactions we had, and tolerating me is the sign of a very capable PR person. We wish her the best.

Marvel confirmed the change but declined to comment further. Robyn Belt has been seen sending out some of Marvel's press releases over the past week.

Jude TerrorAbout Jude Terror

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
