Batman/Superman #1 to Offer Card Stock Retailer Exclusive Covers

DC Comics has chosen that the one title it will be offering for retailer exclusive covers for August will be the launch issue of Batman/Superman #1 by Josh Williamson and David Marquez. While Marvel offers a handful that are rarely taken up, DC Comics usually offers one or two every one or two months, and all the retailers dive in.

And this time, as the launch issue will feature card stock covers, this will be the first set of retailer exclusive variants to be published on such thick materials…

Up in the sky, in the dark of the night, trust no one — for the Secret Six walk among us! It's all happening in the brand-new series BATMAN/SUPERMAN, coming from DC in August and spinning directly out of the smash-hit miniseries THE BATMAN WHO LAUGHS.

In this debut issue, Superman and Batman are together once more in an all-new monthly series-and they're facing a terrifying new threat that could strike from anywhere. The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel must journey into the depths of Gotham City to learn which of their fellow heroes has been transformed into the horrifying horseman of their most dangerous and deranged foe ever. Our heroes will need to fight to survive, but an even more dangerous question lurks in the shadows: Can Superman and Batman even trust each other?

Interested retailers are asked to contact Vince Letterio, DC's Director – Sales for further details.
