Microïds Announces Toki Coming to PS4 and Xbox One

Microïds has announced this morning that they're bringing the remastered version of Toki to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next month. The company released the game on the Nintendo Switch last year, which included a special Retrollector Edition to turn the Switch into an old arcade cabinet of the original. Now the revitalized 2D arcade cult classic will be coming to the other two consoles on June 6th, 2019. There will be both physical and digital editions, as well as bonus content which we have listed below.

Toki the warrior lived peacefully in the jungle with his sweetheart Miho. Appearing out of nowhere, the terrifying voodoo sorcerer Vookimedlo and heinous demon Bashtar kidnap Miho and turn the poor Toki into a chimpanzee! Unfortunately for his sweetheart, he has become a hairy, lethargic ape…

The former warrior must get used to his new form and, deprived of his traditional weapons, use his powerful jaw to spit strange projectiles at his enemies. During his adventure, Toki will find objects that will help him complete his quest, from a football helmet to a pair of flippers and snorkel.

• NEW GAME MODE: For the first time, Toki will offer a speedrun mode, accessible from the beginning of the game and available in every difficulty settings.

• NEW GRAPHIC FILTERS: Rediscover this retro adventure thanks to 5 filters suitable in all game modes. The "cathodic TV" effect will particularly speaks to the most nostalgic players!

• NEW JUKEBOX OPTION:
o 32 music tracks in total
o 24 composed by Raphaël Gesqua
o 8 compositions from the original game
