Former WWE Wrestler Formerly Known as Dean Ambrose Joins Cast of MMA Flick Cagefighter

Did Dean Ambrose leave WWE to become a Hollywood megastar? Jonathan Good, the pro wrestler known in WWE as Dean Ambrose and currently going by his pre-WWE ring name, Jon Moxley, has signed on to the case of Cagefighter, the upcoming movie about an MMA star who loses to a debuting pro wrestler and then has to rebuild his career after the embarrassing loss of credibility, according to punctuality-obsessed Hollywood gossip rag Deadline. Good left WWE in April after a several-month period of speculation over whether his refusal to sign a new contract was a work or a shoot.

Good joins Josh Herdman, Michael Jai White, Gina Gershon, Michelle Ryan, Jason Maza, Anderson Silva, Georges St Pierre, and Alexander Gustafsson on the cast of Cagefighter. Jesse Quinones is directing the film which counts amongst its executive producers retired WWE superstar Christian.

A former WWE Champion as Ambrose, Good was one of WWE's top stars both as a singles wrestler and as a member of the popular faction The Shield. However, even when offered a big money contract to stay with the company, Ambrose decided to go his own way after WrestleMania, soon after relaunching his Twitter account, which he never used while signed with WWE, to promote his return to the Jon Moxley persona.
