Gearbox's CEO Comments On Voice Actor Not Being in Borderlands 3

Over the weekend we reported how voice actor David Eddings would not be in Borderlands 3 as Claptrap. Today, that story got an unexpected P.S. The shorthand version of the story is that Eddings told a fan he wouldn't be back due to a pay dispute and fired shots at the company for what he felt was an unfair deal. Well, it seems Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox Software, decided to respond to a post where someone commented about unionizing voice actors.  The response is pretty short and to-the-point about the situation at hand.

That's a very different story than how Eddings painted the situations, which can only mean either one side is saving face from the other, or there's a lot more to this than just a pay dispute. Honestly, we won't know what's up until one of the two sides adds more to the conversation. But it is interesting to know there was some drama behind-the-scenes when it came to putting Borderlands 3 together.
