Who had this to say:

Heroes in Crisis takes the top spot at FFF this week for our weekly bestseller list. Amazing Spider-Man actually outsold Detective Comics which is both a surprise to see but also welcome. Whatever Batbook is out is usually in the #1 or #2 place and while Heroes in Crisis has him in it, seeing Spider-Man selling so well is great. Marvel definitely went through a handful of slumps these past years, but they're bouncing back with big names and big titles. Venom, Fantastic Four, Avengers and Superior Spider-Man also made it into the Top Ten.

The Whedonverse books have also seen a significant boost at their new home of Boom. Firefly has been selling well and this issue made it to our #7 spot. We've actually sold out of our first print copies of some of the issues. Firefly and Buffy are both very large and intense fanbases and it's good to see that carry over to the comics again. All in all, it's nice to see DC and Marvel share the Top and while I'd love to see some indie books sell the same numbers I don't mind the Big Two actually putting out books people actually want to read.

Our top sales this week were populated by the expected heavy-hitters, with Heroes In Crisis taking a pretty considerable lead over everything else, followed by Detective, Amazing Spider-Man, and Action Comics. The one big shake-up, however, was that Avengers #18 was not only absent from our top 10 bestsellers, but got outsold by a War of the Realms tie-in AND an Age of X-Man tie-in, which is incredibly out of the ordinary. Are all of the usual Avengers-readers preoccupied with Endgame? Or are they just taking a break now that No Road Home is over? Either way, it usually garners pretty high sales, and I have no doubt that it'll pick up over the next week or so, but it was still pretty odd. That said, with free comic book day on the horizon, and our Ssalefish-exclusive DC's Year of the Villain hitting next week, we're hoping that all the Endgame hype gets some new customers through the door, even if it kept them from picking up their books this week.

We had a pretty solid release week. Topping our sales is the penultimate issue of HEROES IN CRISIS, followed closely by each of the Big Two's marquee characters with strong sales from both DETECTIVE COMICS and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.

Middle of the list sees several standbys like FANTASTIC FOUR, ACTION COMICS, and VENOM. The bottom of the list gets a bit more exciting with the debut Tini Howard's new THANOS series as well as the first issue of ASCENDER, the coda miniseries to the fantastic DESCENDER by Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen

No one might have liked it but, Heroes in Crisis 8 was the top selling. Thursday was one of the worse sales days every for the store. Everyone was off or getting ready to go see some new Avengers movie. Another sign that the movies do not help the comics.
Hello,

We have a few non hero come into the top 10. Marvel and DC are great, but it is important to help the little guy as well.

A better week for DC at our store as they took three of the top ten spots. Heroes in Crisis ws the obvious first place, with Detective taking third, but Action just barely crept into the top ten at ninth place. Otherwise, it was all Marvel, with there Spider-Man family titles–Amazing, Superior, and Venom–placing in the top ten.
