Hearthstone HCT World Championships: Group Stage B – Muzzy vs. LFYueying

We're live in Taipei, Taiwan as we're bringing you the complete Hearthstone HCT World Championships to crown at 2019 champion. Today's matchups will be the placement rounds in Group Stage A and B, and we finish up the prelim matches with Group Stage B – Muzzy vs. LFYueying.

The first match was almost no contest as Muzzy charged in with a Rogue deck to fight LFYueying's own Rogue deck. But it was like the two had little in common as or even played the same as LFYueying couldn't get anything rolling and it didn't take long for Muzzy to steamroll him for the 1-0 lead. LFYueying returned the favor, however, as he switched to a Hunter deck to battle against Muzzy's Warlock deck. There were chances for Muzzy to get something started, but LFYueying shut him down at almost every turn and left him with little to do. Meanwhile, LFYueying was patiently getting his deck in order and crushed it at the end for the 1-1 tie.

Match 3 saw Muzzy stick with the Warlock while LFYueying returned to Rogue, both using decks they lost with already. The two traded off blows for the first part of the match, with Muzzy having a slight advantage in characters on the board and in health. But LFYueying managed to come back on the character front and laid waste to everything in his path and worked away at Muzzy's health. It didn't take much from there for LFYueying to snag the victory and go up 2-1. Match 4 saw Muzzy stick with his Warlock while LFYueying switched to a Mage deck. This one felt more like a war of attrition as the two kinda whittled away at each other until it came down to who could figure out the best strategy to end things, which the nod went to LFYueying as he tied it up 2-2.

The final match between the two showed Muzzy switching over to a Shaman deck while LFYueying stuck with his Mage deck. Muzzy took a major health hit at the start to looked like it was going to be a quick match, but he recovered and took the fight back to LFYueying. The two traded off blows until Muzzy was back on the brink of death. It appeared he had one trick up his sleeve and loaded the board with creatures, but LFYueying shut that down quickly and wiped everything clean, including Muzzy's health, to take the 3-2 victory.

Winner: LFYueying (3-2)
