Chadwick Boseman and The Russo Brothers are looking to put audiences on the edge of their seat in STX Films' action-packed thriller, 21 Bridges.

'21 Bridges' Trailer Chadwick Boseman Puts NY on Lockdown in Russos' Crime Thriller

While the timing of the trailer couldn't be better given the attention the juggernaut of their "other" film (Avengers: Endgame), it's almost too easy to overlook other projects Boseman, Anthony and Joe Russo are involved with.

The film features the Black Panther star as an NYPD detective, who's followed in his family's footsteps in pursuit of a pair of cop killers. Despite his sordid past in the force, he earns a chance at redemption by leading the manhunt.

Leading the city-wide manhunt, the detective orders all access points (bridges, tunnels, roads, etc.) to Manhattan cut off, but discovers the lockdown produces beyond its intended effect as he unravels a growing conspiracy.

21 Bridges is directed by Brian Kirk, who's had a considerable tv presence with Game of Thrones, Luther, and Penny Dreadful. The Russos (Joe and Anthony) are producing along with Boseman, Mike Larocca, Gigi Pritzker and Logan Coles. Matthew Michael Carnahan (World War Z, Deepwater Horizon) and Adam Mervis (The Philly Kid) have written the script.

The film also stars Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Keith David with Taylor Kitsch and J.K. Simmons.

21 Bridges comes to theaters July 12th.
