Existential Bullethell Beyond the Veil is Available Now

Indie developer Incubator Creations has announced that their bullet hell and shoot 'em up inspired debut game Beyond the Veil has launched on Steam.

Beyond the Veil combines RPG, shoot 'em up, and bullet hell elements into a cerebral story-focused journey. Naturally, the game deals with some pretty heavy existential questions and is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Because of course it is.

Players take on the role of The Wanderer and explore the abandoned tombs of the Gods in the Five Kingdoms as they try and uncover why the Gods have abandoned humanity. Players will face a variety of enemies, deal with dynamic weather, and collect valuable resources to ensure their survival.

Combat in Beyond the Veil should be pretty familar to bullet hell fans, as it's a classic top-down shooter with an onslaught of friendly and enemy fire to dodge. The RPG elements add an extra level of depth and character progression. And, of course, the game is a rogue-lite with procedurally generated maps and an ever-changing climate just to spice things up even more.

Beyond the Veil is available now on Steam for a special launch price of $13.49 USD.
