Loki, How Can We Miss You if You Never Leave? Thor #12 Preview (Spoilers)

Death is fleeting in the Marvel Universe. If you read War of the Realms #1 (and if you didn't, honestly, why are you reading this preview), you know that Loki died, the second sacrifice to the gods of super-mega-crossover events, when he was eaten by his dad (and who can't relate to that?). But if you follow the 24-hour comics news cycle, you probably also know that Loki is already set to return in his own series after War of the Realms is over.

Okay, so Loki died, and he's coming back, and we've all come to accept that's just what happens in comics, particularly quickly in Marvel comics. But what if Loki never actually leaves at all? This preview of Thor #12 opens with our recently deceased anti-hero front and center…

Of course, it looks like we might be seeing Loki in the afterlife, or something similar…

Could this be the first Marvel death and rebirth where the character never stops starring in books the entire time they're gone?!
