Wackiness Ensues As We Try Half Past Fate at PAX East

Throughout PAX East we had been going back-and-forth to the Indie Megabooth, and one of the games that caught our attention was Half Past Fate. Developed by Serenity Forge, the game is a narrative adventure where you are basically in the middle of a romantic comedy. It's up to you to find love while also figuring out how to move the plot along in this awesome little environment they've created. The demo we played started us off as your typical business guy who is late for a meeting and gets coffee spilled all over his suit before he needs to go in. The choices we make in the story dictate how that series of events unfolds from recycling some trash to telling a jacked workout dude that the coffee won't make him slimmer.

One of the more intriguing items that we didn't get to explore but were told about from the devs is how you'll play several characters in the game, and that you'll see everyone's story and interactions play out around you while you go. I thought that was a charming way to get more out of the game by using less. Half Past Fate has a 2019 release window for PC and consoles, but if we had to take a guess based on development, we're probably seeing it again at PAX West before we see a release date.
