Thank FOC It's Friday – Minecraft, Giant Days and DC's Year Of The Villain

Welcome to Thank FOC It's Friday, a weekly mailing list, similar to The Daily LITG, but every Friday and planned to coincide and cover the demands of Final Order Cut Off. The date when retailers have a last chance to amend their advance orders for comic books without penalty.

A last chance for publishers to promote books while orders can still be added and a time for credits to be amended, new covers to be revealed and a final push given. This is an attempt to sift through them all and find the most relevant items.

Now, many retailers will know all this, but some things may slip through even the most diligent retailer's attention. And if nothing else, it may be useful to try for a one-stop shop that may start some thoughts, even if it doesn't finish them.

Be warned though, you still may have to wait for a bit as Diamond's website is down for maintenance right now…

What's FOC'ing this week?

Larry Marder's Beanworld is getting its second Omnibus. This is one of my favourite comics of all time. It's probably someone else's.
The Minecraft TPB. People will want this. Possibly new people you don't yet know.
It's DC's Year of The Villain 25 Cent comic. How many hundreds will you order? Thousands?
Also the cancelled and resolicited Absolute Swamp Thing. Maybe not as many copies as the one above, but still.
Batman #70 – no longer Thomas Wayne, in case that bumped your orders.
Batman Damned Hardcover – with a few more shadows now.
Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III begins
First issue of DCeased which is shaping up to be a biggy.
The Detective Comics #1000 Deluxe HC
Philip Bond's new comic with David Barnett, Eve Stranger, launches.
Michel Fiffe's Copra Vols 1-5 come to Image and more people get to see what all the fuss is about.
Gogor from Planetoid's Ken Garing launches from Image
Major X seems to have surprised plenty. The second print of #1 and #3 by Whilce Portacio are FOCing.
Marvel Team-Up #2 – Wacky Wednesday got a tonne of interest and intrigue.
Conan joins the team with Savage Avengers – alongside Punisher, Venom and Wolverine. Blimey.
Han Solo gets a… solo…
War Of The Realms #2 and #3 are up for FOC simultaneously. And three tie-in series. Up the orders or… cut them back? How did #1 do?
Giant Days hits #50 from Boom. Stunning that it has gotten so far.
