Where in the World is Antar The Black Knight? Orders For #2-5 Cancelled by IDW

Antar The Black Knight was a comic book series written by sci-fi author Nnedi Okorafor and drawn by longstanding comics artist Eric Battle, launched at San Diego Comic-Con in 2017, and had its first issue published in April 2018.

But since then…nothing. Not even the letterer knows what's going on.

Thomas Mauer there, who once upon a time lettered my own Flying Friar graphic novella, knew what was going on. That's editor Sohaib Awan of Jabal Entertainment, who produced the comic for IDW, namechecked there.

This week, publishers IDW Entertainment cancelled all retailer orders for the solicited issues 1 to 5. No more details… we have some inquries out there, we'll let you know what we hear.

Nnedi Okorafor is currently writing Shuri for Marvel and LaGuardia from Berger Books/Dark Horse and seemingly not talking about Antar online.
