The sequel to Jumanji was one of those movies that no one really expected. It did fairly well critically and then went on to be a huge blockbuster. It managed to bring in over $900 million at the worldwide box office which is not something to sneeze it. So it isn’t surprising that Sony has a sequel coming out this year. Dwayne Johnson has been sharing lots of pictures from the set but the official Twitter account, along with the accounts of various cast members, shared a first look at the returning cast members.

They all look the same but they’re video game avatars so that makes sense. We still don’t know what the plot of this movie is going to be but Sony is probably going to start hyping it by the time the summer hits. The first one made money so now it’s time to try and make lightning strike twice.
Untitled Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Sequel, directed by Jake Kasdan, stars Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Danny DeVito, Darin Ferraro, and Sal Longobardo. It will be released on December 13th, 2019.
