Jared Leto Shares a Photo of What Appears to Be the Logo for Morbius

We are now a week into production for the upcoming adaptation of Morbius from Sony. No one is really sure what to make of this movie since it was kind of a weird property to develop in the first place. Star Jared Leto is active on multiple social media channels and has been talking about the production. Today, he posted a picture of a clapper from the set and with it we might have a look at the logo for Morbius.

Sony is in kind of a weird position with their Marvel movies. While Venom did well it did get critically panned. The foundation of these movies is a little shakey and they really need something that is both a critical and commercial success. They have it on the animated side with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse but where they go from here with the live-action movies should be interesting.

Summary: Biochemist Michael Morbius tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease, but he inadvertently infects himself with a form of vampirism instead.

Morbius, directed by Daniel Espinosa, stars Jared Leto, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, and Jared Harris. It will be released on July 31, 2020.
