Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson Would Use 'Kong: Skull Island' as Skrull Detector

We're very much enjoying watching the continuing friendship blossom between Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson from their time together on Kong: Skull Island all the way up to Captain Marvel. The pair have bonded, and its pretty obvious through the numerous press junket interviews, soundbytes, and videos that there is a true camaraderie between the two actors.

Perhaps our [new] favorite example of this is the answers the pair gave Entertainment Weekly about how they'd test if the other was a Skrull- the shape-shifting aliens that'll be the bad guys in Marvel Studios' upcoming Captain Marvel.

EW: If you were trying to prove to each other that you weren't a Skrull, what would you say?

LARSON: I feel like I'd probably mention something from Kong.
JACKSON: Oh, you know the one question that you could ask that would totally identify me? "Who's your least favorite person on Kong?"

LARSON: It's so true.

JACKSON: I mean, there's a couple answers she could give me, but I would know they would be right. I would know.

Okay, but now we REALLY want to know who Jackson didn't like on the film!

The first "public" screening of Captain Marvel happened in Los Angeles and so far, the reactions are overwhelmingly positive. Everyone loves Goose the cat, everyone loves Ben Mendelsohn, and everyone LOVES Brie Larson as the good Captain. (You can read about the first reactions here.)

Anna Boden (first female director for Marvel Studios, only took 21 films) and Ryan Fleck are directing from a script they wrote with Liz FlahiveCarly MenschMeg LeFauveNicole Perlman, and Geneva Robertson-Dworet.

Captain Marvel stars Oscar winner Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce (who may or may not have two names), Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace returning as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Skull Commander Talos, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, Algenis Perez SotoMcKenna Grace, and Annette Bening in as-yet-undisclosed roles.

Captain Marvel is set to hit theaters on March 8th 2019 (International Women's Day), and tickets are on sale now.
