Apex Legends Getting a New Character Names Prophet

Apex Legends has only been out a couple of weeks and already Respawn Entertainment are planning a new character release called Prophet. We've barely gotten to know the current cast of characters and explored what all of their combinations can do, but GamingINTEL has already found some code in the game for the ninth character to be added to the roster. According to the data, the character will come with an ability called "Precog", which if you know anything about sci-fi, means that it will probably have something to do with seeing the future or being able to change an event from the past after having prior knowledge of what's about to happen. But who knows what it actually will do.

It doesn't surprise us that the devs already have several characters on board for future releases, as we're sure there will eventually be character burnout from a small roster and there's clearly room to build on int he Apex Legends character select screen. We just kind of figured their releases would be held off until we saw them debut at events coming up throughout the year. We still don't know when Prophet will make a debut, so all we can do is keep diving in and waiting.
