Moon Girl is Really Tired of Superhero Origin Stories

If there’s one thing that all of us have probably seen enough times in the course of our fandom, it’s superhero origin stories. For some of the most popular heroes, it seems like we must relive their origins over and over again. Even Doctor Strange’s origin has been told more than enough times. It seems that Moon Girl, in this preview of next week’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #40, is in complete agreement.

Moon Girl has a nightmare problem, and she’s turned to Doctor Strange and Sleepwalker to help her solve it.

Sleepwalker will follow Moon Girl into her next nightmare, and he and Doctor Strange will make sure nothing too bad happens to her there because of the Nightmare on Elm Street rule.

Now all they need is for Moon Girl to go to sleep. Unfortunately, that can be rather difficult if you’re trying too hard. Luckily, the Doctor has a solution: retell his damn origin story for the billionth time!

That’ll do, Doc. That’ll do.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #40 hits stores next Wednesday.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
