River City Melee: Battle Royal Special Will Get An Updated Release

Those of you who love the River City series are going to be getting an awesome surprise in 2019 as River City Melee: Battle Royal Special is getting a new release. Arc System works made the announcement this week that an updated version of the game will be coming to PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019.

Some of the new changes coming are a new item called the Bamboo Shoot that will turn you into a giant, a new game mode called Change Match where you can change to a teammate when knocked down, and Team Edit where you can compose the ultimate team. We'll see if the company brings a demo to PAX East or E3 this year, but we're guessing this won't be released until the Fall of 2019.
