I thought Naomi #1 was a DC Comics version of Damage Control. Naomi #2 is more of Lifetime movie of a comic. So much happened in the first issue. The second issue moves things on by a gnat’s wingspan. It is very pretty though, courtesy of Jamal Campbell.
It seems that, in this much teased approach of Bendis and Walker hiding a Big DC Comics Secret in the series that not much makes it out.
But we do get to meet Naomi’s adoptive parents.
Greg and Jen. Nice couple. No surname yet. Not for the mechanic Dee either, who clearly knows more than he is letting on. And has a bit of a DC Universe history himself. And wasn’t always bald and may have known Naomi’s birth mother…
A heavily tattooed DC Comics super villain hiding out as a mechanic? Any guesses?
(W) Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker (A/CA) Jamal Campbell
