Professional wrestling has had a long tradition of having real life “storylines” that sometimes eclipse the stories being told in the ring – and in the age of social media, that “proud tradition” continues to burn along brighter than ever.
Case in point: Corey Graves, ex-NXT professional wrestler and current WWE commentator – and now unexpected subject of wife Amy Polinsky‘s allegations of infidelity on Instagram. Taking to the social media platform on Saturday, Polinsky alleged that Graves was having an affair with WWE Smackdown superstar Carmella aka Leah Van Dale. Along with the message (transcribed below), Polinsky also posted a picture of her family as well as a sample of a text coversation Polinsky allegedly had with Graves.
The posts have since been taken down.
“This may be totally below me to do but I’m hurt. I’m sad. I’ve put 11 years into supporting a man to accomplish his dream only for him to punch me in the gut! I’ve been through suicide attempts, alcoholism, among so much more with him and stuck by his side. The kicker is finding out that he’s been sleeping with one of my daughters role models all along. @carmellawwe and @wwegraves I hope you guys are happy. I really do!”
Polinsky later posted in her Instagram story a screenshot of an alleged text exchange she had with Graves after her initial IG post:
Neither Graves nor Van Dale have responded to the allegations as of this writing.
