This weekend is the last time that retailers can up their orders on Detective Comics #1000 without paying a penalty. It's known as Final Order Cut-Off or FOC. And so DC Comics would really like people to be talking about the comic right now and retailers upping their numbers.

Which is why they gave Entertainment Weekly a full story from the comics, by Brian Bendis and Alex Maleev.
