Cody Rhodes Announces AEW Partnership With AAA at Double or Nothing Rally

Following Sonny Kiss's announcement that he would take part in Double or Nothing, co-founder Cody Rhodes took the stage poolside in Las Vegas at the AEW Rally.

"If not us, who? And if not now, when?" Rhodes said, adding that AEW feels like a "revolution" as the crowd chanted its initials. Rhodes brought up the company's partnership with OWE in China and then announced a second partnership, this time with Mexican Lucha Libre promotion AAA.

Rhodes then talked about ticket sales before bringing out AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Sammy Guevara, who took the opportunity to promote his YouTube page.

"Everybody here at AEW is gonna understand that Sammy Guevara is the best ever," Guevara told the crowd as they chanted for AAA. "I want Khan, I want the Bucks, and I want Cody to understand, no matter who else you bring out here, your true superstar is Sammy Guevara."

Double or Nothing will take place on May 25th. Tickets go on sale to the general public on February 12th, but if you head to AllEliteWrestling.com now, you can sign up to receive a pre-sale code by email on February 11th.

Tonight's press conference is AEW's second big event after the rally the held in Florida earlier this year. There, the company announced several major signings, including Chris Jericho, PAC, Britt Baker, Joey Janella and Penelope Ford, and Hangman Page. Since then, Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr. have also joined the new promotion, and tonight's rally promises even more big surprises. Follow along with Bleeding Cool as we'll be bringing you breaking news from the event as it happens.
