'Bond 25' Production Start Moves Back a Month, Release Date Still Set

Sounds like production start on Bond, James Bond 25 is getting pushed back a month, but won't have an impact on the already-announced release date.

'Bond 25' Production Start Moves Back a Month, Release Date Still Set

According to Steven Weintraub, Editor-in-Chief at Collider, cinematographer Linus Sandgren confirmed to him a production start date on the Cary Joji Fukunaga-directed Bond 25 in April rather than the original March date.

Weintraub says the release date for the film is still holding on February 14th 2020, and we totally agree with him about not being able to wait to see what Fukunaga does with the franchise.

Back in December, Fukunaga spoke with the Philippine Daily Inquirer about what he's bringing to the 007 realm, and it really did make us more excited about this take on the MI6 agent with a License to Kill:

"In terms of what I can bring to change the character, Bond is on a character arc that started with 'Casino Royale,' and I will be carrying that on. There will be changes, I am sure. As in any story, a character has to change in order [to have] a narrative."

We're expecting to hear additional news about casting and possible settings in the coming month.
