The CW Renews All 5 DCU Series, Supernatural, Riverdale, Charmed and More!

If you have super powers, fight ghost and goblins with your siblings, are descended from vampires and werewolves, or attend a very Twin Peaks-like high school – then the CW has some really good new for you today.

CW President Mark Pedowitz anounced a righteous amount of renewals during their time in the sun at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour in Pasadena. Freshmen series Charmed and Legacies will both be receiving a sophomore season. When it comes to the DC Universe, the good news continued with renewals for Arrow (Season 8), Black Lightning (Season 3), DC'S Legends of Tomorrow (Season 5), The Flash (Season 6), and Supergirl (Season 5). The gang from Riverdale will be back for a fourth season and prime time soap Dynasty is set up for a third season. To no one's surprise – yet still impressive – CW mainstay Supernatural will officially celebrate a 15th season on the air.

"This season, we expanded our primetime schedule to six nights with the addition of Sunday — which has been an unqualified success for the network, our affiliates and our advertisers. In addition to growing our schedule across the week, we also continue to add more year-round programming. The early renewal of these signature CW series gives us a head start on laying out the 2019-2020 season, and this is just the beginning," said Pedowitz. "These shows provide a strong foundation for our multiplatform programming strategy, and we look forward to building on this with even more returning and new shows as we approach the May upfront."
