AEW Teases Big News at Vegas Ticket Party For Double or Nothing

All Elite Wrestling, the upstart pro wrestling company started by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks along with billionaire money mark Tony Kahn, will hold a part in Las Vegas to announce the on-sale date for its upcoming Double or Nothing event. Without putting on a single match, AEW has sent shockwaves throughout the pro wrestling industry, signing talent such as Chris Jericho to big money deals that has apparently raised eyebrows amongst wrestlers at WWE, in turn resulting in WWE attempting to lock down its talent with multi-year deals. With the (possibly worked) announcement that Dean Ambrose will leave WWE after April's WrestleMania, speculation is running wild that Ambrose could end up AEW as the atmosphere of excitement over wrestlers switching companies reaches levels not seen since the Monday Night Wars.

Of course, for all of the hype, All Elite Wrestling has still not announced a TV deal and is months away from their first show, Double or Nothing, which will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25th. Though well-funded, the company will need television exposure to truly compete with WWE and even smaller competitors like New Japan Pro Wrestling (which airs on AXS TV in the U.S.), Ring of Honor (which airs on Sinclair stations around the country), and Impact Wrestling, which airs on… uh… we're gonna say UHF Channel 62? Could AEW announce such a TV deal at the party next week? We'll certainly be watching the stream to find out.

Below, see the press release announcing the event, which promises to reveal "spectacular new signings, exciting new partnerships, ticket on-sale information, and surprise special guest, on February 7th at 6PM.

All Elite Wrestling, the new wrestling promotion headlined by members of The Elite, today unveiled plans for the highly anticipated DOUBLE OR NOTHING ticket announcement party next week in Las Vegas.

On the heels of their riotous launch rally in Jacksonville, The Elite are looking to raise the bar even higher as they aim to astound and exhilarate fans at the DOUBLE OR NOTHING party on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. PST at the Splash Pool at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The event is open to fans on a limited capacity, first come first served basis.

Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Brandi Rhodes will reveal spectacular new signings, exciting new partnerships, ticket on-sale information and a surprise special guest. In addition, "Hangman" Adam Page and SCU (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) will partake in the festivities. In true Elite style, fans can expect a slice of the unexpected with all this talent on one stage.
