In next week's Detective Comics #997, Batman finds himself trapped in a terrible predicament. No, we're not talking about being in the latest comic to mine a long-dead Jack Kirby creation for new stories. That could be pretty much any comic. Rather, we mean that Batman and the original Mister Miracle, Thaddeus Brown, are stuck in an underwater death trap, about to be devoured by sharks!

Normally, this would be no big deal for Batman. He'd just pull out a can of shark repellent and send those sharks on their way.

Unfortunately, there's just one problem. Someone has taken Batman's utility belt!
