PUBG Corp is Beta Testing Their Free Version Called PUBG Lite

This week, PUBG Corp decided to launch a beta of their new low-spec version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds currently known as PUBG Lite. Right now, the test is only being done in Thailand, which makes sense as they have a good network to do a closed test on that won't get bombarded easily while still having a stable and healthy player pool. But the most interesting thing to come out of this is the recommended specs, which show that this thing could be run on a PC that was good over a decade ago.

While we don't have any pics or video of it yet, the idea is that PUBG Lite is PUBG stripped down to the basic elements without any of the flash so you get a core game going. If this beta succeeds, it could be a viable option for players who just don't have the cash to upgrade their PC on a whim and need something that can run instantly. It's a cool concept if it works.
