Slightly Mad Studios CEO Shows Off the Mad Box Controllers

Slightly Mad Studios CEO Ian Bell loves to show off stuff for the Mad Box console, and today we got a preview of what the controllers might look like. Bell posted a series of images on his Twitter account today, showing off what appears to be either a prototype or possibly the finished controller for the Mad Box, which includes LED lighting and a center touchscreen that appears to serve multiple functions.

Not gonna lie, the appearance of the controllers actually looks pretty rad. I especially like the integration of the touchscreen to serve as a keypad rather than forcing you do move the joystick around and select a letter. It would certainly make for in-game chat to be a lot easier if you're not using a headset. But again, these appear to be a concept and may not end up being the final product. Best guess, they may get slimmed down a bit because at first glance they look a little awkward to hold.
