Ryan Reynolds Literally Gives Left Arm for 'Deadpool 2'

We've heard all kinds of stories of actors and actresses going the extra mile for a role or film. Turns out, as of this week, Ryan Reynolds takes the cake by literally giving his left arm for Deadpool 2.

Reynolds was scheduled to undergo arm surgery in New York on Sunday morning for a lingering issue, but instead opted to fly to China to support the release of Deadpool 2 to Chinese audiences.
"It's been a dream of mine for years to bring 'Deadpool' to China and Chinese audiences, so for me this is, uh, heaven on earth," Reynolds said to the gathered audience in Beijing.

Variety has a fabulous write-up about the event, including the mention of Deadpool's nickname from Chinese fans- "Little Jianjian," which Fox has loosely translated to "Little Bitchy Bitch."

But why not get the surgery?  "This was more important. I was not going to miss coming to China," Reynolds said.

Deadpool 2  is currently playing in China, as well as available on Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD in the US and Europe.
