Marvel to Remember Dani Moonstar Exists for War of the Realms Uncanny X-Men Spinoff

Former New Mutants leader and sometimes-Valkyrie Dani Moonstar will be returning to the pages of Marvel Comics for yet another War of the Realms spinoff. Written by Matthew Rosenberg with art by Pere Perez, War of the Realms: Uncanny X-Men will be a 3-issue miniseries tying into what Marvel is promising will be its biggest super-mega-crossover event of all time, and with all of the tie-ins and spinoffs they’ve been announcing, it’s well on its way to being just that.

Of course, you might be tempted to skip some of these tie-ins, but Marvel is onto you, so they’ve decided that this mini-series will apparently be part of Uncanny X-Men’s legacy numbering, which means you’re legally obligated to buy it as an X-fan. Take that, X-suckers!

Additionally, it will be the first time we’ve seen Dani take such a big role in a while, aside from a brief appearance in the recent New Mutants: Dead Souls mini-series. Speaking of which, why aren’t the New Mutants on the cover below infected with the transmode virus? Did something happen in Uncanny X-Men #10? Don’t tell us, we haven’t read it yet.

War of the Realms: Uncanny X-Men will provide X-traneous content with a War of the Realms banner in April. Compliant Marvel media partner CBR had the EX-X-XCLUSIVE reveal on this one, in case you couldn’t tell by the giant watermark they spooged all over the cover to mark their territory.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
