Ed Boon Reveals the Cover Art for Mortal Kombat 11

In the middle of a week where WBIE and NetheRealm Studios announced a Mortal Kombat 11 character reveal event for next week, Ed Boon gave us a quick treat. Very much out of the blue, Boon revealed the cover art for the game, featuring Scorpion against a yellow background with the MK logo behind him, ready to attack and tell someone to "get over here!"

What's interesting to note is that this is the fourth video game cover in a row from the series to feature Scorpion on the cover. Starting with Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe in 2008, Mortal Kombat (9) in 2011, and Mortal Kombat X in 2015. They're being consistent, but you could also argue that they've decided who the poster child is for the game moving forward. Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on April 23rd.
