The Marketing for Avengers: Endgame Will Mostly Focus on the Beginning of the Movie

Avengers: Endgame is a movie in a rather unique position. It's the sequel to one of the biggest movies ever and the final part of the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When this series started back in 2008 most people didn't know who Iron Man was and now he's one of the most recognizable superheroes ever. If there was ever a movie that could get away with virtually no marketing it would be Avengers: Endgame. We have the first teaser and at the Golden Globes, Marvel Megaboss Kevin Feige was asked by MTV if the rumors that the marketing would only focus on the first 15 minutes or so of the film were accurate.

"I'd call it somewhat accurate. I think of, as was the case for a lot of our films, this one in particular [is] able to generate excitement without giving away any of the many, many, many many secrets, many, many, many, many secrets, would be ideal. And that I think this marketing team is the best in the world and we'll be able to pull it off."

The Marketing for Avengers: Endgame Will Mostly Focus on the Beginning of the Movie

We learned very little about Avengers: Infinity War going into the movie and it showed us clips from the latter half of the movie. The important thing is not just showing things but making sure the audience doesn't understand the context of what they are seeing. That is much more important than only showing the beginning of the movie.

Summary: A culmination of 22 interconnected films, the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.

Avengers: Endgame, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, Karen Gillan, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Evangeline Lilly, Jon Favreau, Sebastian Stan, Pom Klementieff, Michelle Pfeiffer, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sean Gunn, Katherine Langford, Ty Simpkins, Winston Duke, and Danai Gurira. It will be released on April 26, 2019.
