The Most American Use of Vibranium in Next Week's Thor #9

As you know if you've been reading Avengers, the United States is none too pleased with the Avengers electing Black Panther, the leader of a foreign nation, as head of the Avengers. And though the Avengers may be Earth's mightiest heroes, that does leave them in a bit of a pickle. No more using those Avengers ID cards to get out of a jam on U.S. soil, for example. And also, no support from American government forces, and no SHIELD around to back them up anymore either.

But the Panther has a solution, and he's sent Okoye to gather his own Agents of Wakanda to pick up the slack. One of the new recruits is former SHIELD agent and former girlfriend of Thor, Roz Solomon. But to get an American law enforcement officer on the squad, Okoye is going to need to resort to purely American measures…

But in a very un-American twist, Wakanda actually performed a very extensive background check before handing over the gun.

Thor #9 hits stores next Wednesday.
