Epic Games Stops Leaker After Threatening Legal Action

If you think Epic Games is going to tolerate more leaks about Fortnite from social media accounts, you might want to reconsider that position. The word has been getting around that the company has slowly been going after social media accounts and threatening legal action against those they can find in the physical world for leaking information about their intellectual property ahead of release. Which includes those who have been datamining the game for update information. The latest to fall is Fortnite US, who recently posted that they were able to keep their Instagram account alive but agreed not to post spoilers.

We can't really blame Epic Games for wanting to protect Fortnite, but at the same time, the company has to know they're essentially trying patch a leaky dam next to the ocean. You can't have the most popular game on the planet right now and not suffer leaks from multiple sources. But it's clearly not going to stop them from trying.
