What If You Were Publishing Vagrant Queen But Someone Forgot the Last Issue?

Vagrant Queen is the comic book series by Mags VisaggioJason Smith, Harry Saxon, and Zakk Saamabout the former child queen Elida driven from her throne at age ten and forced to wander the galaxy, evading the revolutionary forces that want her dead. And when an old frenemy claims to know the whereabouts of Elida’s long-lost mother, she is forced to return to her former kingdom and stage a rescue.

Described as Star Wars directed by the Coen brothers, the series has been published by Vault Studios through 2018.

The series ran up to issue 5 and is being collected in a trade paperback out in 2019. But it’s not the be-all and end-all.

It seems that Vault simply seems to have forgotten to solicit the final sixth issue. Or Diamond did. Or someone did. Issue 5 came out at the end of October as intended but there was no listing for Vagrant Queen #6 in the November, December, January or February solicits, just the collection.

Looks like someone somewhere forgot.

As a result, Vagrant Queen #6 is being rush-solicited to retailers this week, and will be published on the 2nd of January, despite never turning up in Previews. This is the kind of comic that may get missed by retailers as a result, so consider this an all points warning for retailers who have been ordering the series. You will need ordering code OCT188645.

The collection will be published in February.

Lazaro has his hands on the Bezoar (it’s a little like a kidney stone-ew) of Kings, and with it he’ll take control of the entire Republic! Meanwhile, Elida and Stelling are imprisoned, together, which is the worst possible fate. Sometimes, you just have to roll up your sleeves, stomp through a sewer, and save the regime that threw you off the throne. Cause, ya know, greater good. In Shops: Jan 02, 2019
