Deadpool Tries to Join an MCU Franchise in Next Week's Spider-Man/Deadpool #43

The Disney/Fox merger still hasn't officially happened yet, but that hasn't stopped the Merc with a Mouth from attempting to ingratiate himself with one of the upcoming franchises in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In next week's issue of Spider-Man/Deadpool, the titular heroes find themselves stuck in the negative zone, having just apparently let an army of buglike creatures invade the Earth.

It's not their fault, however. It turns out that Ransak is the cause of the bug stampede. And when Spider-Man incorrectly identifies Ransak as an Eternal — though he's been affiliated with the group, he's actually part Inhuman and part Deviant — Deadpool jumps at the chance to ask to join the Eternals, which would, of course, give him an opportunity to appear in Chloe Zhao's upcoming Eternals film.

Though we have to respect Deadpool's hustle, we do hope Ransak doesn't let him join the group. Between his own solo series, this Spider-Man team-up book, one or two mini-series constantly running, and various guest appearances, Deadpool is overexposed as it is!

But if you can't get enough of him, Spider-Man Deadpool #43 hits stores on Wednesday.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
