Looks like "The Search for God" continues on for another season, with AMC officially greenlighting Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's Preacher for a fourth season. Production on the upcoming season begins in Australia in early 2019.

Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo comic book series from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, Preacher follows West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they embark on a road trip to find God and are thrust into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between. Joining Cooper, Negga, and Gilgun are Ian Coletti, Graham McTavish, Pip Torrens, and Julie Ann Emery.
Preacher is a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios, and developed for television by Rogen, Goldberg, and series showrunner Sam Catlin. Catlin, Rogen, Goldberg and James Weaver executive produce for Point Grey Pictures. Original Film's Neal H. Moritz and Ori Marmur and Vivian Cannon, Jason Netter, Michael Slovis, Mark McNair, and Ken F. Levin also serve as executive producers.

With the help of his friends — and a few enemies — Jesse will need to escape his past…because the future of the world depends on it.
Preacher stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Ian Colletti, Graham McTavish, Pip Torrens, Julie Ann Emery, Malcolm Barrett, and Noah Taylor; joining this season were Betty Buckley (Supergirl, Split), Colin Cunningham (Blood Drive, Falling Skies), Jeremy Childs (The Last Castle, Nashville), Liz McGeever (Star, Nashville), Jonny Coyne (Turn, Alcatraz), Adam Croasdell (Reign), and Prema Cruz (Mozart in the Jungle).
