DC Comics Make Aquaman #43 Semi-Returnable for Kelly Sue DeConnick and Robson Rocha's Launch

DC Comics have informed comic book retailers that Aquaman #43 will have limited returnability.

Basically, if they order as many of the first issue by Kelly Sue DeConnick and Robson Rocha as they did of Justice League #7 (which is quite a high number) then they will be able to return half of them, if they don't sell, at a later date.

Which might encourage a number of retailers to up the numbers on what has been a relatively lower selling title before the Drowned Earth crossover, and maybe see just what new demand there may be for this new creative team, joining the book courtesy of Brian Bendis' negotiation skills…

The comic is released on December 19th but final orders have to be in this week, you see… worth also mentioning, I guess, that the movie will be out in the US a few days after that (and a week before in the UK…)

You can read a preview here.

AQUAMAN #43
(W) Kelly Sue DeConnick (A/CA) Robson Rocha, Daniel Henriques
The tides turn for the Sea King with a new creative team! Star scribe Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain Marvel, Pretty Deadly) and red-hot artist Robson Rocha (TEEN TITANS, SUPERGIRL) take the rudder to steer Aquaman into uncharted waters. In the wake of "Drowned Earth," an amnesiac Arthur washes ashore on a remote island, and ends up being cared for by a young woman named Callie, who's just a little TOO curious for comfort. And as a lifetime of horror movies has taught us, there's something strange going on in this island village. Aquaman needs to come to his senses quickly…or he might wind up sleeping with the fishes instead of chatting with them.In Shops: Dec 19, 2018
